"Semen tastes like gunmetal", she said, smiling.
The arms of boys drowning in fire, reaching for the rungs of my rib cage.
These pills I take in the witching hour, I imagine I am swallowing you.
I would show you the view of life from the floor
but the knees are as far as you go.
I give you exhibit A.
A country girl bludgeoned with an elephant tusk.
An entire year of you in a single speck of blood.
The gun smiles your smile and the razor whispers your name.
They are just frigid hands from the other side of the world, leading me into winter.

I am 100% enthrawled by this picture. The words with it are beautifully disturbing. It will haunt me in my most fantastic of dreams, I'm sure, and I will accept it with everything I've got. I thank you for creating such an incredibly intense piece of art. I'd be incredibly frightened to see the insides of the rest of your mind, yet completely intrigued. *jaw is thoroughly dropped*

omg this is fantastic, such emotion and power, its incredible, while the photo is grainy and appears quite poor at first, once full viewed and read, it becomes overpowering and haunting, an amazing description also, great work.

This is amazing.

At first I didn't think much of it. Not because it wasn't impressive but because I didn't look closely enough.

Looking deeper, I can see the amount of work that went into this. It's subtle but powerful. It's scary but beautiful.

Best of all, it makes me genuinely uncomfortable.

When I have my house with an office, I'm going to buy a print. I can't right now because my wife would freak out if I put that over the sofa.

I love how "untouched" this appears. It looks like regular photograph without being as crappy as a regular photograph, which interests me. Please excuse that description, I really can't think of a better one. The writing, however, I'm on the fence about. I'll look at this and hate the text then come back and adore it seconds later.

Your description interests me the most, though. It certainly looks like you put *some* thought into this, which is more than I can say for most of the deviations on this site. If you didn't, well, then you're good at faking it and you've succeeded in making me think about this all day.

If you want it in a nutshell, I love it. Everything about this deviation is thought-provoking. This is probably one of my favourite favourites. :P Nice work. :+favlove:

Wow. All I can say.

I remember a project being started back in 2002 (or was it 2003?) called Artists Of/For The System. If I remember correctly, you participated in it. I was not a deviant at that time, and it was only via the project that I found out about DA. This work of yours, Starbelly, was the first image I saw. Powerfull introduction I must say, I absolutely adored the piece back then and now I do, still.

I don't know what happened to the project over the years, I don't even remember what happened to me these last years; but it feels very weird bumping into this again after all this time. Weird - yet very pleasant. It's nice to "see" you again, even though I've never known you, but you were the one that drew me into DeviantArt, and for that I thank you. Even though I've not been a very active deviant at times, I have very much enjoyed my time here and will definitely continue to do so...

See you around - take care,

yea it's taken me 8 months to write a comment on this... I don't even know how to express my love of this image, everytime I look at it I cry. As weird as it seems to tell you this, this is my all time favourite image. I worship it and stare at it everyday. It gets to me so much, you have no idea. I'm buying it in a couple of weeks... finally, I would have brought it sooner but I'm a poor bitch.

I accidentally stumbled across this on someones page.
It is one of the most emotionally stimulating pictures i have seen on DA for a while.
The text draws you into the image and drowns you inside it.
I adore work that has some sort of prose or poetry that goes along with it, it intensify's the feelings.

I have to fav this and put you on watch.

Your work is breathtaking.

Thank you.

I had to come look at this because I can't just roll over in the morning and see it. This is very emotional and not hard to see why it is your featured deviation. What is all of the cursive font in the background?
Reading over these words makes me feel nausiated. It's good. You draw forth emotion with Starbelly.

i need to take a xanax after looking at this. i have read it probably 10 times and i dont know if it's suggestive for me, (inparticular) i don't know what it is. i hope i dont typo on this comment like i did on the other comment i did. i would love to give you a few more comments today, but in all honesty i'm not sure i can handle it. you climb in my mind and have attached yourself with images that are making me have a migraine. this is not a bad thing. you're reaching something. i don't like it when i see fluffy things that don't make me feel or reach something. i have to say yes it is suggestive for me. i have read it again. you are intensely creative or intensely sad in your heart and i'm shaking seriously. probably saying too much. so. i'll fav this. and go on with my meds... you're a definitive genius... my arms feel so long here. :+favlove:
